Why are we surprised when a "teal" politician does favours for her sponsor.
Every politician is owned by and takes orders from the individual or party who pay for their campaigns. Provide favours or the election funding will dry up.
THe only surprise is when the politician and sponsor are so stupid that the favours are obvious enough to lead to charges of corruption.
All teal politicians should drop the claim to be independent. They should declare their true allegiance and run under the banner of their financial backer.
