05oct24: printed in The West as "We've learnt nothing"
There is a lot of public pressure for Australia to support one side or another in the Middle East conflict. This shows how little the public has learnt from Vietnam, Korea and Afghanistan.
Australia can try to set an example of traditional enemies living together in peace and acceptance.
The real task for Australia is to prevent the barbarians from bringing their endless wars and hatreds into Australia.
