Who are these people who lose money in ultimately unsuccessful get-rich-quick schemes?

They are people with a lot of money. People who own and manage major organisations.

People who have never heard, "If it seems to be too good to be true -- then it is probably not true."

And we trust these people to run major organisations. Weird, eh.
