Barely a ripple of a rort

Paul Murray need not be too concerned about Labor electoral staff campaigning with taxpayers' money. This is a very minor issue.

For example: The year 2024 offered several major opportunities for Tourism in WA.

The Huge World Tourism and Trade conference WTTC24 was held in WA. A golden opportunity to present WA to the world as a unique and exciting tourism destination.

TourismWA began the development of a brand new phone app -- specifically designed to promote tourism in Western Australia.
Another ideal opportunity to make a grand impression at WTTC24.

On a smaller more personal note, I began discussions with a tourism political advisor. I would guess that he fell into the category of "electoral staff".

As it turned out, the man had no skills.
He was unable or reluctant to read emails.
He failed to grasp the concept that communication is better when it is two-way.

After six wasted months he was barely able to drag himself back to the question which I had raised in my very first email.

Worse: he had a terrible fear of being in the same room as a new -- possibly unique -- idea.

Had this man read the note about, You are always campaigning? If so, he was a very sad failure.

At the end of six months,
This electoral officer had campaigned for  nothing.
There was no sign of a new TourismWA app.

WTTC24 had come and gone with barely a whimper.
My own offer, opportunity, had been killed by advisor stupidity.

Three unique -WA- tourism opportunities were

 dead.

If this was Labor campaigning
... then nothing at all was lost to electoral office duties.

This electoral officer was a Ministerial Advisor Tourism.

The only loss of benefit was to Saffiotti.

If this man is the best available
... no amount of rorting will provide any actual benefit to Labor.
Nor, unfortunately, to Tourism in Western Australia.
