Death doesn't bargain / Kerrilyn Kenyon

Death doesn't bargain
(Deadman's Cross #2)
by Kerrilyn Kenyon

fantasy, romance
copyright 2018
read a bit in September 2021

rated 6/10: read to pass the time

It's one of those books which is really a second chapter...

No explanation of what went before. No introduction to the characters. Straight into the action... killing demons, apparently.

The main characters seem to have good intentions. They fight to protect Earth from demons -- and to save the souls of friends (friends I've never read about before) from a very literal Hell.

I didn't read much of the book. There are too many unknowns to really enjoy the reading.

But from the little that I did read... it seems to be readable. Violent but enjoyable.

The cover is honest enough to inform us that the book is set in the "Dark-Hunter world".
Read other Dark-Hunter books, read this series' #1... If you then want to read this book... then I suspect that it will be very enjoyable. A standard entry in a continuing series... but not to be read as a standalone.
