the editorial refers to the defeat of the voice referendum.

this is rubbish.

all Australians --blak and whyt -- were asked if they wanted to destroy democracy in Australia.

the answer was a clear support for democracy: one person, one vote.

the editor may prefer some form of race-based dictatorship.

the majority of us prefer a democracy.

there was no defeat. just a clear statement of what is wanted -- by the democratic majority.

the real people of Australia

... prefer democracy.

there was no win or lose. the question was asked. democracy is what we want.
